Lean Into the Green

“Make Your Own Luck” is hand painted on our shop window. It’s a mantra we live by…luck isn’t something that happens to you, it’s something you create. On March 1st, we Leaned into the Green pretty hard with a very lucky edition of Sappy Hour.
We featured a little dose of sap (as always) with our nod to St. Patty’s Day with signature matcha cocktails (with optional CBD add-in) by our very talented mixologist, Lam, and very cheeky tunes spun by Chelsea (known on the street as DJ Scratch ‘N Cheese).

Going a little too literal with the “green theme,” we also introduced y’all to a very special CBD brand we discovered during market week in New York this winter. We brought in several products from Birds of Paradise, a NY-based organic, pesticide, solvent, and THC free brand offering a range of tinctures and gummies. 

Last but not least, Cherith, our favorite Swell Infusions nurse, joined us with an arsenal of vitamin shots at special Sappy Hour pricing. 

Follow the super easy steps below to recreate our Sappy Hour cocktail of the month:

Matcha Highball

2 ounces 12-year whisky, preferably Japanese whiskey
1/2 ounce fresh lemon juice
1/2 ounce Honey Syrup
1/4 teaspoon matcha green-tea powder
4 ounces chilled club soda
1 lemon wheel, for garnish

    In a cocktail shaker, combine the whisky, lemon juice, Honey Syrup and matcha; shake vigorously. Pour into a chilled, ice-filled collins glass. Pour the club soda into the shaker, swirl around to rinse, then stir into the glass. Garnish with the lemon wheel.
